Salary: Leadership Group 12-16 £67,898 - £75,049 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year.

Pilton Community College is seeking an ambitious, resilient and inspirational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher: SENDCO. This is a unique opportunity to join us at a pivotal moment and play a defining role in driving our mission: Five inspiring lessons every day for every learner.

As Assistant Headteacher, you will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher: Quality of Education/Inclusion, acting as the strategic link for our SEND provisions. You will ensure that our provisions continue to be meaningful, our lessons meet the needs of every learner and our reputation as a fully inclusive school is maintained.

We are looking for a leader who combines visionary thinking with strategic leadership, using data and evidence to inform decisions and lead change. You will bring a collaborative approach, building strong relationships across teams and partnerships, and demonstrate emotional intelligence, showing empathy, resilience and integrity in all aspects of your work.

You will set and uphold high expectations for both staff and students.  With a strong sense of accountability and drive, you will maintain a solution-focused mindset and deliver measurable results. Your adaptability will enable you to respond effectively to change and emerging priorities, ensuring that standards remain consistently high across all year groups.
